A Servant Leader with the Confidence and Patience to Build a Stronger GCISD
I have called Grapevine home since 1993, attending Timberline Elementary, Colleyville Middle and graduating from Grapevine High School in 2001. After graduation, I attended Texas Christian University (TCU), graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Minor in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating from TCU, I embarked on an amazing and rewarding career of service in Law Enforcement spanning more than 16 years and counting.
As a law enforcement professional, I have taken on multiple leadership roles including heading agency threat management programs and serving as the lead instructor for firearms, control tactics and force-on-force. I was trained and certified in hazardous material and bio-detection response, as well as post-blast investigations. Once my wife and I were able to choose my duty station, there was only one place we wanted to raise our daughter and that was in the Grapevine/Colleyville community.

Since our family has replanted our roots in Grapevine, I have actively volunteered with a variety of clubs and activities at my daughter's school and coach her basketball and volleyball teams. I believe the more parents get involved and support our teachers, the better our school systems run. Promoting collaboration, communication and transparency builds unity and trust.

As an alumnus, I am proud of GCISD’s continued successes and opportunities provided to our children. I not only want to use my professional skills and experience to give back to the school district that impacted me, I want to make GCISD the best district for our children.
My safety and security expertise is an asset to GCISD leadership in a time when parents must be assured when they bring their kids to school, they will be returned home safely. My diverse experience enables me to bring a levelheaded, commonsense approach to complex challenges.
As a GCISD Trustee, I will provide transparency to the community and a voice in the conversation. I will focus on the decisions directly impacting all of our students and staff. I will bring to the Board all the passion and pride of a GCISD parent, alumnus and community member.
